About Daniel Deveaux

Daniel followed Nicholas soon after his removal to New Jersey. After death of his wife and the marriage of several of his children, he removed up the North River, where he was found residing near Rhinebeck. Few of the marriages of his children can be traced with any degree of certainty (as of 1885).

    Daniel Deveaux was also known as Daniel Devore. He was born in 1660 in Picardy on Walloon soil, France. He was the son of Nicholas Deveaux and Susanne Francois. Daniel Deveaux married Engeltje "Angelica" Cornelis on 28 February 1692 at Bergen County, New Jersey. Daniel Deveaux died on 11 October 1729 in Amwell, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.
