    Primarily the Descendants of Daniel Grimm and Philippena Rausch who came from Baumholder Germany to Tuscarawas Co OH in 1847--there is some information going back from these two as well, and these families seem to have a history of marrying into each other. In fact Daniel's brother Philip Grimm married Philippena's sister Julianna Raush and also came to Tuscarawas Co OH.

    Daniel and Philippena left Tuscarawas Co shortly after the Civil War and settled in Montpelier Township, Muscatine County, Iowa. Many Grimm descendants are still in that area.
