    “Cornelius (11) owned property in Queen (now Pearl) Street, where he carried on the baking business. He was assistant alderman of Montgomery Ward, 1738–40. His two slaves, implicated in the Negro Plot, in 1741, were transported to San Domingo. After his death, which happened April 15, 1745, his business was continued by his widow and son Cornelius.”
