Janet married Colin CAMPBELL of John Campbell, senr., and Co., afterwards of Colgrain ("provosts of Glasgow from 1609 to 1832"). Colin Campbell (8jun1782-1863) married Janet 24oct1814 (stirnet, thepeerage). From 1815 they had children in Glasgow or Colgrain, Dunbartonshire. A daughter of Colin Campbell of Colgrein (son of this Colin) married at Cames-Eskan in 1857 (Gentlemans Magazine, Times). Scottish archives have the will of Colin Campbell of Colgrain, Dunb., died at Cames Eskan House, reg. 1863 Dumbarton (scotlandspeople). David Welsh also died at Cames Eskan. Camis Eskan is the modern name. From “Sermons” by David Welsh (1846): when David became ill, Drumfork House (on the estate of Campbell of Colgrain near Campbell’s residence, Camis Eskan) was placed at his disposal. Drumfork House is now the oldest house in Helensburgh.
