  1. Some web sites say she was born in Alt Posttal, Akkerman, Bessarabia. However her family does not appear in the 1859 Alt Posttal census.
  2.   Census records indicate that she immigrated in 1902 with her second husband Gottlieb Lick and their sons. No supporting record has been found in the Ellis Island ship manifests. The family may have entered the US from Canada which was common at that time. There is no record of her arriving on the Batavia with sons of her first husband Karl Rittenbach.
