Will of Christinah (Kinder) Fletcher

In the name of God, Amen, July the 29th one thousand eight hundred and six. I, Christinah B. Fletcher of Adair County in Kentucky State being in health of body and perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God yet calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed until all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in a christian burial nothing doubting but at the general reserrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty powers of God, now as ***** my worldly estate where it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give and dispose of in the following manner and form of all after my just debts paid and (my) funeral expenses of the whole of my Estate I bequeath to my beloved grandson, Matthew Walkup, my Negro boy named James to him and to his heirs, two cows and one red heifer, one feather bed and polster and (mongram) linsey bed quilt, one pot of dutch iron, one iron pot rack, one large pewter Bason and one large pewter dirker, one quart bason and likewise next I bequeath unto my oldest son, Robert, one Negro woman named Grace, one Negro boy named Abraham and this said boy named Abraham is to be free at when he is twenty one, one old saddle to Margaret Lindsey, Robert Fletcher's oldest daughter, I also bequeath unto my dearly beloved John one Negro boy named Jack and one white helper to his son Andrew and my spinning wheel to his daughter Dicey, One large pewter Bason, three plates & six spoons, one coffee pot, and to my daughter in law Elizabeth, John's wife, I give all my cloths that is body cloths and calico *** quilt, and I no letterly disallow revoke and disallow all and every other testaments wills before by and any wise ordered and bequeathed r***fying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament witness where of I have here unto sit my hand and seal this twenty ninth day of July one thousand eight Hundred and Six. Signed and acknowledged in the presence of us wherein the presence of each other subscribed our names.
