NOTES: From http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/l/a/c/Deborah-Ann-Lacey-MO/GENE2-0003.html#CHILD6 Notes for Christian Schaeublin: Christian Schaeublin immigrated to America with his parents aboard the ship Princess Augusta an 16 September 1736, arriving at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received a land patent from the will of Christian Schaeublin 11 April 1745 in Cocalico Creek, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He sold 1/2 of 317 acres 18 April 1752 at Cocalico Creek, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. In 1756, he resided in Warwick Township, Lancaster County. He was naturalized 24 September 1759 in Pennsylvania. He purchased a tract of land of 185 acres from Melchoir Henneberger for 700 pounds, 16, April 1764 at York Township, York County, Pennsylvania. He purchased 1100 acres on the north side of Penn's Creek, 22 April 1773 at Buffalo Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. He sold 185 acres to Jacob Lefever 3 November 1773 at york Township, York County. He had a will dated 16 November 1773 at York Township, York County. He served as overseer for the poor at York Township in 1773. Christian was a farmer. On 9 January 1773 He made a deal with his daughter, Barbara, married to David Smith; his daughter, Esther, married to Ludwig Smith; his son, John, married to Eve ____; and his son Christian, married to Catherine Smith, whereby they agree to keep Christian and his wife, Esther for life. The children are to get parts of the 110 acre tract. This agreement is noted in detail in deeds given by the executor and executrix of the will (Judy W. Shively, pp. 1-2). There is a problem with this death date, since his will was dated 16 November 1773, this could be because of double dated years found in some records. The will was probated 4 December 1773. He was born in Oberdorf, Switzerland emmigrated in 1736 to Philadelphia, lived in York County 1750, Buffalo Valley 1733 and died in York, between 16 November 1773 and 4 December 1773. _FSFTID: 2SH6-RPV _COLOR: 11 |
