Will of Christian Hershberger of Inwell Township in the County of Dauphin and State of Pennsylvania...
I will and bequeath to my son Samuel Hershberger my plantation one hundred and forty acres more or less situated in Inwell Township in the County of Dauphin adjoining the land of John Miller, Phil Baumgartner and others to hold him his heirs and assigns forever he must pay or course to be paid foresaid plantation the sum of twelve hundred pounds good lawful money of Pennsylvania as follows: four hundred pounds after my decease in case and fifty pounds yearly and every year till the twelve hundred pounds is paid my children of my secont wife Jacob, John, Abraham, Samuel, Henry, Elizabeth, Anna Mary and Anna shall have out of my Estate two hundred pounds of the first money more than my other children equal shares and the rest of my Estate shall be shared equal amongst the hole of my children Christian, Jacob, John, Abraham, Samuel, Henry, Catharine, Elizabeth, Anna Mary and Anna.
I will and bequeath unto my granddaughter Polly Handshue the sum of fifty pounds which shall remain in my hereafter mentioned Executors hands till she comes of age..
And I do hereby constitute my son Samuel Hershberger and John Reasor my sole executors of this my last will and testament
In witness whereof I the said Christian Hershberger have hereunto set my hand and seal the twentieth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and three.
Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Christian Hershberger as his Last Will and Testament in the presence of the subscribers.
