    Charles Shaw was born May 22, 1822 in Greenbrier Co., VA. He moved to Wisconsin. Married Electa Nickerson. Moved to Waterloo, Iowa. Served with 32nd Iowa Regiment in Company C. He was wounded at Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. Moved to Kansas to live with his daughter Cora Dell Shaw Rogers. He later lived at the National Military Home in Leavenworth, Kansas where he died April 13, 1909.
