Obituaries Mrs. Celia Mae Swank, 76, of North Lima, died of a heart ailment Tuesday morning in the Cupola Nursing Home in Leetonia, following a 4 month illness. Born in New Buffalo, May 6, 1883, she was a daughter of Freeman and Louisa Butts Rupright, and was a life resident of the county. A former Canfield resident, she was employed in the Canfield telephone exchange for several years. In recent years she had done practical nursing. She was a member of Paradise Lutheran church in New Buffalo. Her husband, Curtis Swank, whom she married in 1904, was killed in a clay mine accident at Marquis in 1916. SWANK IS DEAD; WAS PHONE OPERATOR North Lima, March 24 -- Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Williams Funeral Home in Canfield for Mrs. Celia Mae Swank, 76, of Market St. Ext., who died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Cupola Nursing Home. Leetonia. Mrs. Swank was born Mary 6, 1883, in New Buffalo, a daughter of Freeman and Louisa Butis Rupright. She had lived in this area all her life and was a member of the Paradise Lutheran Church at New Buffalo. She was a telephone operator in Canfield from 1919 to 1929 and had been a practical nurse in many homes in the area until she reired in 1954. Her husband, Curtis, died in 1916. She leaves two sons, Edward of North Lima, with whom she resided, and Randall of Daingerfield, Tex.; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
