Wife: Phebe Gibbs I lend 1/2 of the land whereon I live including my manor plantation and improvements during her natural life. Also the privilege of getting timber off the 25 acres of pine land lying on Wysockin road. Also I lend the privilege of getting cypress rails out of Cypress Swamp that I purchased from William Gibbs and Lovett Bell. I also lend her the following Negroes: old Jack, Barbara, Caleb and Fan. Also one horse named Dragon and one mare named Poll. One plow, 2 hoes, 2 axes, 1 cart, 1 handsaw, 1 canoe and 1 grindstone. It is my desire that she shall keep all the children in minority together with her and maintain them.

Daughter: Sally Gaskins and her children having already received their legacy, I have nothing more to add.

Daughter Mahala Easter to have 10 shillings, she having received her legacy before.

Son: Samuel Gibbs having heretofore received Negro man Wallace, I have nothing more to add.

Daughter: Dinah Watson to have one old Negro woman named Jude and $50.00 beside what I have already given her.

Son: Cason Gibbs to have 10 shillings, he having received his legacy before, except Negro man Toney, which I now give him.

Daughter: Elizabeth Spencer to have one Negro man named David, commonly called Taff.

Son: Jordon Gibbs to have the tract of land and all the stock I bought of Clinton Tooley in Swanquarter. Also Negro man named Jack which he has already received. Also the papers I hold against him.

Daughter: Louisa Gibbs to have Negro woman Till?, said Negro now in her possession, as is all the rest of the legacy she has received before.

Daughter: Esther Davis to have Negro girl named Hannah?, the rest of her legacy already received.

Son: Carney Gibbs to have the western 1/2 of all my land at Waupopin. Also the westernmost 1/2 of all the land I bought of the Carter patent on the south side of the Lake. Also 1/2 of 50 acres of swamp land I bought of Clayton joining Lemuel Cartwright on the north side of the Lake, reserving to my wife the privilege of getting rail timber. Also one Negro man named Jonathan. Also 1/2 of my stock at Waupopin, 1 bed and furniture, and 1/2 dozen chairs.

Son: Oliver Gibbs to have the eastern 1/2 of all my land at Waupopin, 1/2 of the stock, 1/2 of the land I bought in the Carter patent, the eastern 1/2 of all the land I bought of William Gibbs and Lovett Bell on the south side of the Lake, 1/2 of 50 acres of swamp land I bought of Clayton. Also one negro boy named Ishmael, 1 bed and furniture, and $50.00 for the purpose of buying household furniture.

Daughter: Alsey Howard having already received her legacy, I have no more to add.

Daughter: Nancy Gibbs to have Negro girl named Rose, 2 cows and calves, 1 bed and furniture, 1 linen wheel and 1 truck and chest.

Son: Littleton Gibbs to have the northwestern 1/2 of the land where I live. Also 25 acres of piney land on Wysockin road which I bought from Edward Gray, reserving my wife's privilege. Also 50 acres of marsh at Horn? Point. Also a Negro boy named Abram, 4 cows and calves, 1 bed and furniture, 1 horse yearling and $50.00 to buy himself household furniture. Also Negro Caleb after my wife's decease.

Daughter: Drucilla to have one Negro girl named Milla, 2 cows and calves, 1 bed and furniture, 1 linen wheel, and 1 trunk and chest.

Son: Volentine Gibbs to have the southeastern part of the land where I now live, being the part lent to my wife. Also 50 acres of land I bought of Nathan Jennett. Also 70 acres of marsh in the tract in Jesse Gibbs' part and is known by the name of the hog yard. Also 50 acres of Cypress Swamp, the eastern most part of my patent. Also one Negro woman named Sylva and her child Lewis, reserving the use of the 2 Negroes to my wife until said Volentine comes of full age. Also all the stock remaining at his mother's death. Also Negroes Jack and Barbara after his mother's death.

Daughter: Eliza Gibbs to have one Negro woman named Dilla and her child Matilda, 2 cows and calves, 1 bed and furniture, 1 chest and trunk, to be given to her when she comes of age or marries. The remaining estate is to be sold to pay debts and the balance remaining after the death of my wife shall go to Volentine Gibbs.

Executors: 3 sons: Jesse Gibbs, Carney Gibbs and Oliver Gibbs Wit: Robert Foster, Benjamin Watson, Jr.
