CAROLINE migrated to the USA in 1843. The Stone Creek Cemetery picture on this page was taken in 1975. The cemetery is the former loction of Zion's Congregation, a former joint German Reformed and Lutheran congregation, which was organized in 1849, just after many of the members moved on to Urbana, Indiana. The church burned, and the congregation split into two separate churches.

The picture was taken from a hill to the west of the cemetery. The view is to the east. just beyond the tree line, and down in a valley, is Interstate Highway 77. To the right of the cemetery, and about a mile or so away, is the town of Stone Creek. It was platted in 1854 as Philipsburg, and in 1903 the name was changed to Stone Creek.

To the left of the cemetery picture, a few hundred yards or so, was the former farm of Daniel Lower, who was the first to move on to Wabash County, in circa 1848, taking his family, and others followed. Caroline's parents are buried in the Urbana Cemetery. Caroline's nephew was Clarence Conrad, who was married to Bertha . Bertha's step-father was David Lauer, of Urbana, Indiana. Some of this researcher's data comes from visits to Bertha in Urbana, during 1963. Bertha personally knew Magdalena (Karns) Lower, and owned a picture of her.
