We believ e John died before 1870. Caroline married William Jones i n 1872and lived in Green County at the time of her father` s death. Caroline and William had a sonnamed William Jones . *According to one source, John and Caroline had a son nam ed GilbertHolcomb, born about1866, in Watertown,Wisconsin . He might be the Gilbert Holcomb foundliving in Colburn, A dams County, WI. in 1920, 53 years of age, with a wife name d Sarah E. Married: 2 Jan1860 to John Holcomb.
