I found an obit today for Carl F Ziesemer who died Jan 3 1933 at home of his brother Richard Ziesemer in Miltona.

He was born Jan 23, 1838 so lived to almost age 95. He came to America 50 years ago and settled in Chicago. He also lived in California for 15 years. His wife died there in 1907. He went back to Chicago and them came to Miltona and lived with his brother for over 20 years. He had a son Carl in Los Angeles and son Herman at Missoula Montana. He had a son William who also died in Chicago earlier. and a Lena (Mrs August Jeske) preceded him in death.

He had three of the same pall bearers as my Great Grandfather Carl Ludwig Guderjahn and is buried in the same church cemetery.

Mr. Ziesemer was born in Germany January 23, 1838, and immigrated to America fifty years ago with his family settling in Chicago where he worked for a few years in the Deere Implement works. He went from there to California which was his home for fifteen years. His wife passed away there in 1907. after her death he returned to Chicago for three years and from there came to Douglas county and made his home with his brother Richard, in Miltona township.

Surviving him are two children, Carl of Los Angeles and Herman at Missoula, Montana. A son William passed away in Chicago and (Lena) Mrs August Jeske also preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday January 7 at 1:30 PM at the German Lutheran Church of Miltona with Rev Dreyer officiating. Internment took place in the church cemetery. The pall bearers were Adolph Hertwig, Carl Henning, Matt Woessner, Emil Frier, Julius Beyer, and Fred Mahlke.
