Carl passed away peacefully and in the presence of his children at his home. A lifelong resident of L.A. County, he began a mason contracting business after serving in the US Army during WWII. In 1951, he married Barbara Jean Christensen and they had three children. In 1957, the family moved to the house that he designed and built and where he has resided ever since. He ran a successful business for over 70 years and at the age of 95, he was still managing his affairs and playing golf once a week. He will be missed and loved by his family forever. He is survived by his children, Carl, Jr., Bill and Debbie Tomasi and his six grandchildren.
After Carl's mother passed (Carl was 10 & Loyd was 8) Bernadette Goetz took them under her wing becoming their surrogate mother.
