From the September 16, 1993, edition of the Dubuque (IA) Telegraph Herald Carl J. Casey Services for Carl J. Casey, 59, 1675 Westridge Drive, will be at 10 am Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 pm today at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where there will be a parish wake service at 7 pm. Mr. Casey was a truck driver for Flexsteel Industries for 30 years and would have retired in April 1994. He was born on Aug. 18, 1934, in Dubuque, son of Carl and Margaret (Barrett) Casey. He died at 12:15 am Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1993, at the Dickinson County Hospital, Spirit Lake, Iowa. He married Mary J. Moore on April 7, 1956, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Sherrill; she survives. He was a member of the Dubuque Boat Club and the General Drivers Local 421 for 40 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. Also surviving are two daughters, Sherry Droessler, of Dubuque, and Mrs. Angie Tressel, of Long Grove, Iowa; two sons, Joe C. and Jerry C., both of Dubuque; eight grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Margaret Casey, of Dubuque; one sister, Mrs. Darlene Christ, of Dubuque; and a brother, Thomas F., of Dubuque.
