Services for Carl Leander Butzier, 44, of RD 1, Kansas, who was pronounced dead on arrival at Fremont Memorial Hospital of Injuries received in a fall the the Basic Inc. Plant in Bettsville, will be conducted at 2pm Saturday at the Harrold Funeral Home by the Rev Harrold Corbi n, pastor of the Bettsville Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Kans as Cemetery. Mr. Butzier, a maintenance man for the Plant, fell 50 feet from a building under construction at the plant Thursday Dec.1 1960 at 10am. The son of Albert and Ruby Zimmerman Butzier, he was born in Seneca CO Nov. 12th, 1916 and was married to Marjorie Conrad at Bascom July 5th, 1945. Surviving are his wife, Parents, Children . Carol, June, Linda, Thomas, and Janice. all at home; Brothers, Lester and Ellis, of Bettsville, Cecil and Kenneth of Kansas and Verlin Butzier. Fremont; and two sisters, Mrs Rosell Haubert, Burgoon, and Mrs. Edna Robinson, Pemberville. He was a three year veteran of WW II, and served in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Dolomite Workers Union and an Honorary Vice Commander of American Legion Post 733.
