Uncle Cal was an actor on Broadway. He went to CO on the Indian Reservation after high school as a traveling actor. Uncle Cal also went on an off Broadway theatre tour to Nebraska. We thought he might have been quite a "ladies man", because we have a scrapebook of his in whiich there are many pictures of him with females that we don't know who they are. He also worked as a salesman and he sold outdoor advertising. He was later an accountant in Cleveland and in Passadena for Occidental Life, and near retirement he worked for the IRS. Uncle Cal was a large man with a big head of white hair as he aged. It wasn't hard to miss him in a crowd. He was also a pretty good "teaser". Uncle Cal's service # was 3487373. He was in Word War I.
