Witnesseth that said John Smith T. for sum of $250 in hand...sells to Bazel and Britian Davis 273 acres more or less lying in Roane county. Begin at a white oak then north 30 E 130 poles to a blak oak; N 46 W 104 poles to a black oak S 74 W 104 poles to a post oak S 21 1/2 W 140 poles to a pine S 47 W 41 poles to a hickory S 55E 40 poles to a post oak S 47 W 93 poles to a stake near a hickory and red oak S 20 E 54 poles to a pine S 21 1/2 E 55 poles to a small red oak saplin (sic) N 25 E 105 poles to a post oak N 69 E 50 poles to a post oak saplin (sic) N 31 E 48 poles to a black gum thence a direct line to the beginning. 193 acres of which is conveyed to Basil Daviss and 80 to Britian Daviss agreeable to the conditional line as done by Jacob Jones surveyor with all and singular woods, ways, waters, water courses, profits, commodities, hereditaraments, and appurtences whatsoever to the said tract by John Smith T.'s attorney, John Brown. Entered in court 18 July 1810 and entered in book Aug. 17, 1810.
