    Bazaleel Wells. Bezaleel Wells was the youngest son of Alexander and Leah Wells. He was the son who became the proprietor of and founder of both Steubenville and Canton, Ohio. Living in Steubenville he was for many years owner of one of the largest woolen mills in America and also had ownership interests in large flocks of sheep. Bazaleel Wells was elected a member of the Ohio State Constitutional Convention in 1802, and he was elected State Senator from Jefferson County Ohio, in the first session of the State Legislature. .
