Betty J. Lepley CUMBERLAND - Betty J. Lepley, 86, of Cumberland, died on Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at the WMHS Sacred Heart Campus Hospital. Born Jan. 16, 1919, in Meyersdale, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William E. Getty, DDS, and Isabelle (Spence) Getty. Mrs. Lepley was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald K. Lepley, 1979; and a brother, William Getty. Mrs. Lepley was a First Lieutenant with United States Army/Air Corps during World War II, where she served as a nurse. She retired as a public health nurse from the Allegany County Health Department. Surviving are her sons, Clinton L. Lepley and Jeffrey G. Lepley, both of Cumberland; her brother, Oliver G. Getty, Meyersdale; her sister, Thelma Reich and husband "Beachy," Meyersdale; her grandchildren, Lori Lepley, Stephanie Lepley and Carrie Lepley, all of Cumberland; her great granddaughter, Brianna Shaw, Cumberland; and her special friends, Betty Davis, Elaine Palmer, and Bob and Carol James. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, April 22, 2005, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tom Landaker officiating.
Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
