    VINTON, Benjamin [sic], s. of John and Abigail, [born] June 12, 1720.
    [Note: Vinton, p. 43, says that later records clearly show his name was Benoni, which make sense, the meaning "son of my sorrow" fitting well with the death of his mother near his birth. The marriage of Benoni in 1742 suggests the baptism and birth are the same person, despite being separated by 14 years.]
