"33. … Benoni (Phelps), b. (East Windsor) 1695, d. Feb. 1709-10, at ~~Daniel~~ [error for Nathaniel] Hosford's his uncle.

Benoni is indicated as being 10 weeks old on 2 September 1695 (in his father’ probate record). That would put his birth date at 24 June 1695, or thereabouts, vice the 24 June 1694 indicated in the Windsor Vital Records.

↑ Oliver Phelps also includes, under another Joseph Phelps of Windsor, "164. … Benoni (Phelps), b. (Windsor) 24 June, 1699, not mentioned in his father's will, probably d. young." This date of birth is exactly (four or) five years later than that of the Benoni born 1694, is not included in the published Windsor Vital Records and, since neither that other Joseph Phelps nor his wife Sarah Hosford had died, it is highly unlikely that a child born in 1699 would be named Benoni.
