Facts and Events
Newspaper articles show that Benjamin bought some land from John I. Green in 1871. Land that was set aside as burying grounds. It was foreclosed by the Mutual Life Insurance co on his
wife in 1879 who inherited the land. Looks like Benjamin died before 1879.
Newpaper article March 10 1877 states that Capt Wicks was lost at sea near the north side
of Barnegat Inlet on Saturday last (March 3 1877).
