Family:Benjamin Wicks and Unknown (1)

Mabel Seaman writes to her son that her mother (Eugenia Wicks) was born out of wedlock to Benjamin Wicks (Weeks) who was a mariner.

1.   1850 Census lists Benjamin aged 31 living in Monville, New London, Connecticut under the name Weeks with John Weeks - aged 76, Ether Weeks - aged 71, Louisa Weeks - aged 23, Minerva Weeks -aged 7 and Benjamin Weeks -aged 2. Also in 1850 a whaling ship was recorded to have a mariner names Benj' Weeks aged 28 from Connecticut with a date of 9 July, 1849
2.   1875 NY Census lists Benjamin Weeks living in Clarkstown aged 52 with Phebe Weeks aged 30 and Eugenie Weeks aged 13 and Bion R Weeks aged 3. Occupation listed as a farmer.
