  7. The gravestone says 1826 - 1909 but every census and his marriage records indicates his birth is closer to 1830 with 1900 census saying Mar 1830 which is in general agreement with most of them. The basis of the specific date 24 Mar 1826 found on the memorial page is not only unknown, but seems suspect based on the above considerations.
