Will of John Thwing of Kingston-on-Hull, Yorkshire, England, names son-in-law Ralph Hudson. The will of his wife Helen (or Ellen) Thwing names daughter Marie and son-in-law Ralph Hudson. Henry Knowles, age 25, and Benjamin Thwing, age 16, are among 5 servants (apprentices) of Ralph and Mary Hudson on the passenger list of the "Susan & Ellen". See also NEHGR 64:284 for transcription of the passenger list.

link ORIGIN: Hull, Yorkshire. MIGRATION: 1635 on the Susan & Ellen (on 18 April 1635, “Ben[jamin] Thwing,” aged 16, servant of RALPH HUDSON {1635, Boston} [GM 2:3:445-48], was enrolled at London as a passenger for New England on the Susan & Ellen [Hotten 62]). BIRTH: About 1619 (aged 16 on 18 April 1635 [Hotten 62]). DEATH: By 7 January 1673[/4] (date of inventory). MARRIAGE:: By 1642 Deborah _____.
Benjamin Thwing is presumed to be related to Mary (Watts) Hudson, wife of Ralph Hudson who had Thwing half-brothers [TAG 40:228-30] who he arrived with. Ralph Hudson bequeathed to "my man Benjamin Thwing" [SPR 1:59]. Ralph's widow also left money to Benjamin Thwing [SPR 1:60].
(The author does not make the claim that Benjamin Thwing was son of John and Helen Thwing nor does the TAG article cited see below).
Note Anderson makes the claim that Benjamin Thwing's daughter Deborah Thwing married Samuel Hood. This is not correct. Cemetery Records show that Deborah [Thwang] Hood wife of Samuel Hood died 9 Jul 1732 aged 59 years old [born 1732] i.e. Deborah3 Thwang daughter of John2 Thwing born 9 Jul 1732 was the wife of Samuel Hood. Also the probate records of John2 Thwing list his heirs which include his daughter Deborah wife of Samuel Hood [SPR 1759:15-16].

link John Thwing of Hull will 30 Nov 1623 proved 7 Mar 1626 Kingston-upon-Hull, married 1595 Ellen/Hellen [Unknown] Watts of Halsham. The will of Hellen 8 Jul 1626 proved 7 Mar 1626/7. John had an earlier unknown wife. The details of these wills are given, etc.
Benjamin Thwing is suspected to have been a member of the John Thwing family and hence connected to Ralph Hudson's wife; even if born a Watts. Note there is no proof John Thwing was father to Benjamin but he may have been related. He certainly doesn't name him in his will.
