Will Abstract
- Arthur Reid wrote his will in early December 1854. He left his son David 200 acres of land to include the dwelling house. David was to provide for his father during the rest of his life. David was also to provide his sisters Nancy, Isabella and Jane with a horse. He was further charged with supporting Nancy and Isabella as long as they remained single. They were also to receive a cow, 5 head of sheep and their bedclothes and bedding.
- The balance of Arthur's land was to be sold and the proceeds divided among the following children: Benjamin, Elizabeth, Margaret, Rodger, Nancy, Isabella and Jane. Arthur appointed Benjamin Reid and David Reid as his executors.5
