Arthur Beaty, November 4th, 1811
Blount County Will Book #1, p. 216 (Note will is out of sequence and is next to a will dated 1842)
In the name of God Amen. I Arthur Beatty of Blount County State of Tennessee being weak in body but of sound mind and of disposing memory do this day make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following (Viz) I bequeath to my son James Beaty fifty dollars in cash as soon as collected from Mark Moor.
I likewise bequeath to my daughter Isabella Campbell ten dollars in cash and likewise to her daughter Sarah Campbell my bed and furniture.
I also bequeath to my grandson Arthur Beatty son of John Beaty deceased forty dollars in cash.
I likewise bequeath to my son Aaron Beaty one hundred dollars together with my mare saddle bridle and saddle bags together with whatever goods and chattels I may be possessed of at my decease for whatever trouble and expense he may be at while I live and for my burial.
I likewise leave my books to be divided by my Executor hereafter appointed among my children and grandchildren at discretion-
I hereby appoint Aaron Beatty my son my sole executor of this my last will and testament whereunto I subscribe my name this fourth day of November one thousand Eight Hundred and Eleven.
