Windsor Locks, Conn. 1901 Page 67 Arnold Howard was born in Foster, R. I., July 21, 1819; married, January 15, 1844, Susanna Pauline Rounds (b. April 5, 1828), daughter of William and Roby Rounds of Foster. He is a farmer, and has always resided in Foster; is an ardent lover of music, and has always resided in Foster; is an ardent lover of music, well known locally as a player of the fife and the violin; was a fifer in the service of the state as one of the law and order volunteers during the Dorr War of 1842. His wife died April 21, 1869. He married for his second wife Mrs. Martha M. (Bennett) Foster, January 26, 1875.
