Given her age, Aranner would appear to be a granddaughter of George and Pricella McDORMAN. However, she could not be the child of Alexander J. SHORES, who died in 1844. She is a possible daughter of Elizabeth ((McDORMAN) SHORES, spouse of Alexander, who died in 1849.

Probable granddaughter of George and Priscilla (Kelly) McDorman. A probable daughter of the McDorman's, Elizabeth Ann, had been married to Alexander J. Shores, but he died in 1844and she remarried Nathaniel White in 1845, making it highly unlikely that this child is a product of that relationship, unless the age of the child was at least 6. She is listed after Astell Shores, age 7, in the household indicating a possible relationship between them.
Possible daughter of James T. and Martha A. (White) McDorman misnamed by the census taker.
