Witnesses: Joseph MALBROU; Mark of Juan MICHER, father of the bride [sic]. Recorded at Ascension Church, Donaldsonville, LA (ASC-2, 40). [Was he really 30 years older than his bride?]

!NAME-PARENTS-MARRIAGE-CHILDREN: Elton J. Oubre, "The Malbrough Family," 21-page article sent by Edward Domangue in May 1996. On p. 9, Antoine COUPEL was born 4 Jan 1741, so in 1796 he was 55 years old. On the 1795 Census of Valenzuela, supposedly taken in Dec 1795, he was listed as Antoinio COUPEL, age 55, with wife Maria FALTEMENE, age 22, and three children aged 1 to 3. Next door is household of Juan LICAIRE and Maria MALBROU [Maria's mother]. 

   On p. 9, 1797 census of Valenzuela, right bank, is Antoine COUPEL, age 56, with his wife Marie [FALTEMAN], age 24, and two children: Jean, 3; Marie, 4.

    Also: Antoine COUPEL, age 56, living with his wife Marie, 24, and two children on the 1797 census of Valenzuela in Lafourche. [This couple appear again on same census a few pages later, with only 2 in family, but Antoine's age is 55. Could they own a second piece of property?]
    Also: Antoine COUPELLE, age 36 [sic, should be 57?], living with his wife Marie, 24, and three children, ages 5 to 2, on the 1798 census of Lafourche. [Next door is her mother & stepfather.] [Check original for age.]
