BIRTH: In 1625, according to Acad. Des., v. 4. Born 1626 in Arsenault, H&G, p. 394 (Port Royal). Married around 1661. He came from France with his wife, both were originally from La Chausse'ee, department of Vienne. [Is this likely, though, since Marie MERCIER is the daughter of the first marriage of Francoise GAUDET, spouse of Daniel LE BLANC? ]
