Per the court case Geo. H Wisner vs the heirs of William Wisner, "the said William Wisner at his death left surviving two grandchildren, the defendant Mary Lyke and Alice M Madden children of his son Anthony Wisner who died intestate on or about the 17th of April 1865 leaving him surviving a widow the defendant Cynthia Carner and the said Mary Lyke and Alice M Madden and Sofia E Wisner afterwards Sofia E Valentine his children and his heirs and only heirs, and that the said Sofia E Valentine died on or about the 30th day of January 1875 leaving the said defendants George A Valentine and Eva Valetine her only children and only heirs at law." "the said Alice M Madden on or about the 15th day of September AD 1881 departed this life intestate leaving her surviving neither father or children or child or descendants of children or child, nor husband, but leaving her surviving a mother the said Cynthia Carner and one sister the said defendant Mary Lyke and the said George A Valentine and Eva Valentine children of a deceased sister her heirs and only heirs at law." ____________________________________________________________________________ Database: American Civil War Soldiers
