Pulaski Democrat, 2 Sep 1914: ORWELL-- Tuesday afternoon August 25, Anna Stevens, wife of Charles Durgee, who had been ill four weeks with typhoid fever, passed away aged thirty-five years. She was a devoted wife... She is survived by her husband and four children, the eldest fourteen years of age, the youngest a babe of seven months and the other two only two and seven years of age. ... Mrs. Durgee leaves a large circle of relatives and friends... The funeral services were conducted in her late home Thursday August 27 by Rev. E.C. Love of Central Square and burial made in Evergreen Cemetery.
