Dietlein Page 8 Barbara Ann (Dietlein) Knight Knight - Mrs. Barbara Ann Knight, 70 died suddenly Saturday evening at the home of her son, Orvill Knight, 12 East [= 112 West] Midland road, Auburn, where she had been residing. Born in Beaver township July 6, 1884, she was a member of Zion Lutheran church of Beaver and was married to William Knight who died in November 1940. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Kenneth McLain, Mrs. Edward Brandt, Mrs. Arthur Fischhaber, all of Monitor township, Mrs. Melvin Gunther, of Oakley, Mrs. Victor Engelhardt, of Sebewaing; three sons, Avery and Orville of Auburn and Alfred of Bay City; 28 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Adolph Landosky, of Beaver, Mrs. Edward Schukofski of Midland; and two brothers, George Dietlein, of Beaver and Leonard, of Brooks. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Zion Lutheran church in Beaver with the Rev. Fred Reimann officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Taylor Funeral home in Auburn a 2 o'clock today until 10 a.m. Wednesday and at the church at 1:30 until time of service. [The Bay City Times, Oct. 24, 1954.)
