Item 1: Obituary from Fremont News-Messenger 10 October 1992 "Anna Mergenthaler July 29, 1901 - Oct. 9, 1992 Gibsonburg -- Anna Marie Magdalena Mergenthaler, 91 formerly of U.S. 6, Rollersville, died Friday at the Gibsonburg HealthCare Center. She had lived the past 15 years with her son in Heillwood, Pa. She was born in Gibsonburg to Henry and Mary Ellen (Ottney) Diels. She married Clyde Mergenthaler on June 30, 1919, in Erie, Michigan. He died on August 4, 1966. Mrs. Mergenthaler was a homemaker and a member of Welker-Smith Un the American Legion Auxilliary. Surviving are daughter Helen Boots of Fremont; sons Ross of Oregon, John of Bradner and Charles of Heillwood, Pa.; sister Kleta Moyer of Pemberville; brother Arthur Diels of Helena; six grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren. DaughterMary Ellen Mergenthaler, brothers Aaron Diels, Charles Diels and William Diels Sr. and sister Vida Diels are deceased. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at the Nopper-Veh Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funer home."
