  • Oct 1639 - husband elected 1st governor of New Haven colony which he held until his death
  • husband was wealthiest planter in the colony ; his 1640 estate estimated at £3000, about three times that of any other planter and about one tenth that of the entire colony
  • excommunicated from First church of Christ for contumacy and falsehood
  • returned to England, living in London with son David Yale until her death in 1659
