Anne was the daughter of Benjamin Forman and Elizabeth Forman , Annes mothers maiden name was Hamilton , her father Benjamin Forman established Formans fort on the south branch of the Potomac near Romney WV , her brother was captain William Forman who was ambushed and killed with 22 men including two sons by Indians while investigating an Indian attack at fort Wheeling in 1777 . Anne Married Captain James Strode and lived at their home named Pastrauga near Martinsburg WV . She died young and James had remarried . Annes sister Margarete married Jerimiah Strode the brother of Captain James Strode ,,,
( Ann Hamilton Foreman, born October 21, 1731; died June 29, 1786 in Berkeley County, Virginia; married first to William Chapline, born April 17, 1726, and died in 1755; and married second about 1755 in Shepherdstown, Berkley County, Virginia, to James Strode. He was born December 26, 1727 in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and died March 7, 1795 in Berkeley County, Virginia. He was the son of Edward and Eleanor (Shepherd) Strode. The Captain James Strode Property that the Plantation home Pastrauga sat on 2,000 acres and is now the location of the Easten Virginia regional airport , according to the Virginia state conservation dept there is also another cemetery on the airport property that has related family members Strode and Shephard .Apparently President George Washington was familiar with the family as it is written that Washington would stop at Pastrauga plantation to fill out his journals on his way to Bath Virginia
