Cornelius was ord. to Oldham St., Liverpool 1852, trans. to Dailly 1855, trans. to Trinity parish, Edinburgh 1869, trans and adm. 11jan1872 to St. Mary’s, Edinburgh and made D.D. 1892 (Edinburgh) (Fasti Ecclesiae Scoticanae).
