Angeline C. Mignogna was born May 20, 1928, in Hannastown, a daughter of Gusippe Mignogna and Asunta Catrone Mignogna.
Angeline married Michael Payne, Jr., and they became the parents of two daughters.
She was a nurse's aide for St. Anne Home, Greensburg, until retirement.
Mrs. Payne was a member of St. Bartholomew Church, the Rosary Altar Society and the Fellowship Group. She was also a member of the Hannastown Ladies Auxiliary.
At the age of 85, Angeline C. "Holly" (Mignogna) Payne, of Hannastown, quietly and peacefully passed away with her loving family by her side Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Sam, Anthony, Michael, Dan and Patsy Mignogna Sr.; and three sisters, Angeline DeMatteo, Josephine Naples and Florence Olshefsky.
She was survived by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Michael L. Payne Jr., who walked by her side each day, caring for all her needs; two daughters, Linda Sok of Luxor and Susan Payne, who lives at home; four grandchildren, Billy Bowers of Hannastown, John Patrick Golobish Jr., of Fort Myers, Fla., Jennifer Steele and husband, Alan, of Ligonier, and Charlie Sok of Greensburg. She was also survived by two great-granddaughters, Elysia Taylor Steele and Carissa Mae Steele, who were the loves of her life and brought so much joy and happiness to their NaNa. Also surviving was her sister, Florence "Dolly" Uliano and her husband, Frank, of Crabtree; and numerous nieces and nephews.
