According to "The History of the Shire of Romsey", p 137, Andrew and his brother Martin worked with their step-father, Gerry Owen, at the sawmill near Eaton's Road in Kerrie.

1916 - Andrew's death certificate gives his mother as Mary Grady nee O'Dowd and father is not known. It says that he was born in Melbourne and lived in Victoria from birth. His occupation was farmer. John Grady, son, Romsey, was the death informant and the cause of death was given as Aneurism right subclavian(?) artery, Dropsy, Failure of heart's action (2 years).

1916 - Death Notice in the Argus, Melbourne, on 29 February: GRADY.-On the 28th February at his residence, Kerrie, near Romsey, Andrew, beloved husband of Agnes Grady, aged 66 years.

1916 - Funeral Notice in the Argus, Melbourne, on 29 February: GRADY.-The Funeral of the late ANDREW GRADY will leave his late residence on Wednesday, March 1, at 12 noon, for Riddell Cemetery.

1916 - Death reported in the Romsey Examiner on 3 March: The death occurred, at Hesket on Tuesday, from heart trouble, of Mr Andrew Grady, at the age of 66 years. Deceased was an old and highly respected resident of the district, and a brother of Mr Martin Grady. A wife and grown-up family survive him. The remains were interred in the Riddell Cemetery on Wednesday.

1918 - Application for Probate in The Age, Melbourne, on 10 October: NOTICE is hereby given that after the expiration of fourteen days from the publication hereof APPLICATION will be made to the Supreme Court of Victoria, in its probate jurisdiction that PROBATE of the WILL of ANDREW GRADY, late of Kerrie, in Victoria, labourer, deceased, may be GRANTED to Elizabeth Grady, of Kerrie aforesaid, widow, being the executrix appointed by the said will. Dated this 9th day of October, 1918.
