Overview

Baptismal records for tinkling Springs Presbyterian MH show that Andrew was born in 1741 to John Cowan. person:Andrew Cowan (20) is sometimes identified as this son of John and Jennette Cowan. Andrew (20) was clearly an adult in 1747, and so can not be the child of John (36) born in 1741.

We have very little information for the Andrew (33). It is, however, quite possible that Andrew son of John is in fact the Andrew Cowan Jr. mention in court records as having left the area by 1765.
