FaQ.pg 27. Amos moved off the farm to Old Mystic where he opened the Wayside Inn in 1807. It was a famous stopping place for the Providence - New London stage. The Inn and land opposite had been purchased by his father who left them to him. Amos was active in politics and served as Stonington's representative in the CT Gen. Assembly 1818, and 1819. The family still own a set of Liverpool-ware in blue and white initials A & L.W.
