Attend Holly Funeral At Farmersburg Sunday

Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Ruckdaschel, Mr. and Mrs. Elrie Ruckdaschel, Mr. and Mrs. Ed J . Oldag, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Ruckdaschel, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Moon, Mrs. Helen Moon, Mrs. George Henkes and Clifford Jones were at Farmersburg Sunday afternoon to attend the funeral services for Mrs. Fred Ruckdaschel's sister, Mrs. Joe Holly, who passed away at the Iowa City hospital last Wednesday morning.

As Mabel Moon, she was born in Monona township April 20, 1885, as the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Moon. As a child, she accompanied her parents to Wagner township where she attended church and Sunday school in the Gooding church.

She was married to Joe Holly December 31, 1912, and they set up housekeeping on a farm east of Monona where they lived for four years and then moved to Farmersburg which had since been her home.

Surviving are her husband, her sister, Mrs. Ruckdaschel, and four brothers, Leo Moon of Bagley, Wis., Ira, Gus and Herb Moon of Farmersburg. Her parents and one sister, Jesse Jones, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Mabel Holly

Mrs. Mabel Holly was born April 20, 1885, in Monona township. She was the daughter of Wm. and Anna Moon, and the oldest of seven children, three sisters and four brothers. She moved with her parents from Monona township to a farm in Wagner township, where she attended church and Sunday school at the Gooding church. She was married Dec. 31, 1912, to Joe Holly of Monona. They set up housekeeping east of Monona for four years. Then they moved to Farmersburg where they remained to the present time. About four months ago her health began to fail and four weeks ago she was taken to Iowa City hospital, where she died Wednesday morning, Feb. 5.

Surviving are her husband and one sister, Mrs. Fred Ruckdashel and four brothers, Leo of Bagley, Wis., Ira, Gus and Herb, all of Farmersburg. Also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, also one sister, Mrs. Jesse Jones.

The family would like t thank those who assisted them in any way during her illness and for the floral offerings and other kindnesses shown them.
