OBITUARY (Oswego Palladium-Times Friday October 29, 1926, page 5) Friends of Mrs. Almena Askew, 66, wife of William T. Askew, highly esteemed resident of the East side , will learn of her death with regret at the family home 114 East Tenth street last night at 7:30pm o'clock. Mrs. Askew was born in this city and was widely known. She was a member of the Baptist church and at all times was keenly interested in its welfare. Beside her husband, three daughters and four sons survive: Mrs. Carl Kenyon, Mrs. William Cavanaugh, Mrs. George Lamb, Neil, Clinton and Joel Askew all of this city and William Askew of Syracuse. Funeral arrangements are in complete. FUNERALS (Oswego Palladium-Times Monday November 1, 1926) Funeral services for Mrs. Almena Askew, wife of William T. Askew, was held from the family home, 114 East Tenth St. Sunday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock, the rev. C. L. Dakin, of the First Baptist Church officiating. The bearers were: Neil, Clinton, Joel and William Askew, Donald Kenyon and Lawrence Lamb. Burial was made in the family plot at Riverside cemetery. References
