From OBR, pg 128: This Jackson family lived most of there lives in Fort Wayne and the county adjacent in Allen County Indiana. Near the turn of the century removed to Los Angeles California, where they lived and died and are buried there. Allen died of cancer of his face. Allen spent his early life on his father's farm where he was born, a part of the N.E. 1/4 of Sec 25 range 9 E Township 30 North in Whitley County Indiana. Then later on a farm in Allen County Indiana a part of Sec. 16, range 30, North in Aboit Township. He was a carpenter by trade, at one time had the Agency for the Howe Sewing Machine, also made assorted sizes baskets, made quilts, his own pattern "The Carpenter's Square". Later removed to Fort Wayne Indiana about 8 miles east, where for a number of years was a Foreman at the S.F Bowser Oil Tank Company Manufacturing Plant. Allen served his country in the War of the Rebellion. They were members of t he Christian Church wherever residing.
