  4. Blodgette and Jewett appear to be the only writers who are willing to positively assert that Richard1 Holmes' wife was Alice Northend, sister of Ezekiel1. In 1877, Mr. Blodgette said that Richard's wife was "Probably Alice Northend, sister of Ezekiel." In the 1933 revised edition, her identity as Alice Northend was stated as fact.
