    Lanoux, Alfred Sr.---Age 78, died January 3rd after an extended illness. Mr. Lanoux was well known and lived in St. Arnant all his life. Funeral services took place Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at St. Amant with Rev. Father Bru officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. A large crowd attended. Survivors are: Alcee and Alex of St. Amant. Also his widow, Virginia Bourgeois, four daughters, Miss Olivia Lanoux of Brusly, Mrs. Mary L. Mayers of St. Arnant and one son, Alfred Lanoux , Jr. of St. Amant,
    34 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He also leaves three brothers, Arthur, Alcide and Alphonse all of Gonzales
