- Stewart, Alexander - born 11/25/1761; entered service 1779 in Botetourt County, Virginia, where he resided, in Virginia company; moved fall 1786 or 1788 to Madison County, Kentucky, then to Fayette County, Kentucky, thence to Bourbon County, Kentucky where applied for pension in 1833; Pension Application rejected, insufficnent proof of service & for not providing reason why did not apply for pension in 1818; died 6/22/1838 or 6/24/1838; married 12/20/1785 Dorothy ____, Botetourt County, Virginia; widow received Pension age 72 in Bath County, Kentucky, 1840; family birth data (all surname Stewart, record blurred & partially illagible): James 1/6/1787, John 2/28/1789, Robert 8/18/1792, Janet 11/7/1796, Elizabeth 5/6/1802; Alexander son of James 11/25/1811, Janet 6/4/1814, Alexander 8/1810, Elesbath 4/27/1812, Dorothy 4/6/1814, Janey 1/5/1816, Rathel 1/3/1819, Isick 1/1819, Jen __/4/1828, & William 5/14/1832, plus James G. Blythy 10/25/1806; other births (all surname Call): Hameltin 6/16/____, Melaney 1/14/1822, Patsee 10/7/182_; Alex 2/14/1826, James 11/9/1829, Elebath 9/19/____, & Nimrod 3/9/1832; query letter in file says an Alexander Stewart & his son Isaac Abraham both resided in Virginia in 1776; also Isaac had the following children: (eldest born abt. 1805): Anderson, Nelson, John, Betsy, Euphemia, Lucy & Margaret; query letter in flie says a Charles Stewart/Stuart was Virginia Revolutionary War soldier & his heirs who were granted bounty Land Warrant in 1836 were William Stewart, Charles Stewart, Alexander Stewart, Brook Duvall, Captain Philp N. White, Joseph Worby/Worley, Hiram Worby/Worley & Jacob Worby/Worley. F-W8763, R2289.
